Crystal Twins

Welcome to Altimirror! This base was built right next to the Hexagon Crystal — one of the most powerful crystals known on this planet. Before The Event, we were studying their potential for some slightly ambitious projects... like time travel and travelling to other universes.

There used to be more of these crystals, but after The Event, only two remained. We call them the Crystal Twins. Unfortunately, both were completely discharged.

We can restore the crystal here at Altimirror, but its twin lies on the opposite side of the planet — and restoring that one requires an extreme amount of heat. You’ll need to heat it to at least 750,000°C for around 20 seconds.

How? Pretty straightforward: thrusters.

Our calculations suggest that approximately 10 units of thrust generate 1°C of heat. Yes, you calculated that correctly — you’ll need at least 7 500 000 units of thrust pointed at the crystal. How you achieve that is entirely up to you.

Use your Radar to locate the Crystal Twin and the Thermoscan to measure its temperature. Point the Thermoscan directly at the crystal to get a reading, then start heating. Once you restore your crystal, we’ll take care of the one here.

Good luck figuring out how to casually produce seven and a half million units of thrust.
