Originally designed in the demo and adapted for the full game on release, this should only require the first mission to be completed to unlock. 
It was designed to be operated by two people: one with the cameras in the back and one with the windows in the front. Maneuvering is the job of the navigation officer in the rear, while horizontal and vertical motion is the job of the player in the front. Disable the instruments on long flights to avoid sucking up too much power!
